THE JOURNEY – From Sputnik to Space X. The Sputnik, of course, was the Soviet Union’s first artificial satellite launched back in 1957 while Space X is actively involved in space exploration up to this very day!  Tonight’s program is centered around anything related to the “changing moods” of space…the moon, the horizon, the clouds and the ultimate adventure…flying!  So… we invite you to sit back and enjoy music from “Star Trek” and “Apollo 13” as well as favorites like “When You Wish Upon a Star”. Fasten your safety belts…we’re about to take off!

A beautiful evening of vibrant color and wind music lifting through the air awaits. The program will feature stirring selections including American Civil War Fantasy by Jerry H. Bilik and the passionate Carmen Suite by Georges Bizet, arranged by Ernest Guiraud—along with many more audience favorites.

Join us on April 29 for a delightful evening of music as the Bands of The Villages present a special Ensemble Concert showcasing some of our most talented small groups. Featured ensembles include Flute Fanatics, Clarinet Connextions, Saxsations, Horns a Plenty, and The Villages Flute Choir, each bringing their own unique sound and style to the stage. The program offers a charming mix of classics and favorites including Mr. Sandman, Moonlight Serenade, Harum de Bach, Poet and Peasant, Pap Can You Hear Me?, and more. Enjoy an entertaining and relaxed evening filled with variety, musical color, and the wonderful artistry of these outstanding ensembles.
